Inked Art of The BulletProof Ghost Comic is Here!

 So, I'm going to try to post on here a bit more due to a handful of people still come to this blog. I apologize for the lack of activity, but as I've mentioned before, I do keep another blog over on my website, BulletProofGhost.com .

So, if you've followed my exploits, you know that I've attempted to create a comic book version of The BulletProof Ghost before there was a novelized version. Well, all of the first issue is funded and all but two pages have been inked and approved. It looks like that, despite COVID-19 and a near fatal car wreck I had inflicted on me a couple of months ago (seriously go to my website and subscribe to get up to date info), The BulletProof Ghost comic book should be out in 2021. Probably by July, but no promises.

Here are three images from the new batch of inked illustrations by Octographics.net. Thanks to everyone who still believes in me and I hope to keep creating worlds for you to enjoy.

After Geek Galaxy and Beyond!

Geek Galaxy has come and gone, but what's next for The BulletProof Ghost?

If you read this blog or frequent the Twitter feed, you'll know that last weekend, I took The BulletProof Ghost to Geek Galaxy.  GG is a local comic convention, which is in its first year.  The picture above shows my booth, which had all types of neat swag, including the actual novel, The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes.

The con itself went about how I expected.  I didn't sell a ton of books, but I made several solid social connections, some may even lead to other work.  One in particular may lead to short stories of mine appearing in a comic anthology.  Which is neat.

This was my first convention and therefore a learning experience.  I wasn't looking to strike it rich and several people heard about the book that came to the booth.

The next six months will have several developments.  First off, the second book, The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades, will be released by then.  A free preview for In Spades will be posted here before Christmas, is all goes well.  The next week will give me a bit of free time and I really need it.

The other big event will be EvilleCon.  This is an anime convention that I've gone to once before, but as a consumer, not an exhibitor.  I personally talked to one of the people running EvilleCon (calls himself The Ox King, and he looks the part).  He said that there will be several authors there, so hooray!

I may have a store up, but after GG, I may not.  The demand for the non-book merch is a little low at the moment, so I'll wait until that picks up before putting in the effort.

There will be a physical version of BPG: Prototypes

So, I've been talking about a possible physical version of Prototypes for a while now.  I'm officially calling it, there is going to be a hold in your hands version of The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes.  Hooray!  I wasn't aware that Amazon has a free, print on demand service.  I'm not sure on pricing yet, but I'll post it up on FB and Twitter.  There's even a bookstore option, but we'll see if that's possible, for the moment its not.

Currently the 2nd draft is done and printed out.  I may be working on the final draft as soon as next week.  I'd like to work on it sooner, but my second set of eyes is starting to read it tomorrow.

I'll spend this weekend working on the second volume's outline, which I have a lot of good, new ideas for the plot.  The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades is more than likely going to be the title.  This references the criminal organization that's been using Dilbane, Kyle's hometown, as a base of operations.  After the aftermath of the events of the first book, Kyle and Co. have to figure out their next steps.  Kyle will also become labeled by the public/media.  Slight spoiler, he isn't called The BulletProof Ghost in Prototypes at all, but his is referenced to as a ghost (which I wasn't going to do originally, but it fit really well in one scene, so I went with it).  Agent Susan Gojen tries to unravel the mysteries of Dilbane from a normal person's perspective.  Irene and Al, already knowing the answers to these mysteries, have a harder time dealing with their new reality.

That's a little preview to the second book.

I'll also be releasing a video trailer for the book about a week before release.  Don't forget about the free copy you can get a few weeks from now.  Stay tuned.
