Inked Art of The BulletProof Ghost Comic is Here!

So, I'm going to try to post on here a bit more due to a handful of people still come to this blog. I apologize for the lack of activity, but as I've mentioned before, I do keep another blog over on my website, BulletProofGhost.com .

You can use your email to subscribe to my blog posts over there, which I post on a lot more than Blogger.

So, if you've followed my exploits, you know that I've attempted to create a comic book version of The BulletProof Ghost before there was a novelized version. Well, all of the first issue is funded and all but two pages have been inked and approved. It looks like that, despite COVID-19 and a near fatal car wreck I had inflicted on me a couple of months ago (seriously go to my website and subscribe to get up to date info), The BulletProof Ghost comic book should be out in 2021. Probably by July, but no promises.

Here are three images from the new batch of inked illustrations by Octographics.net. Thanks to everyone who still believes in me and I hope to keep creating worlds for you to enjoy.

Nightmare People is Available Now!

Check out my Patreon at Patreon.com/jakedh

So, first off, if you still subscribe to this blog and not to my website at BulletProofGhost.com,

Please go to my website, go to the subscribe box and input your email address. I rarely update this blog anymore. Speaking of, I have a new book out. It is NOT related to The Bulletproof Ghost as I'm taking a bit of a break from that series other than the comic book. There is a ton of information about the FULLY FUNDED comic book over on the website btw.

My new book is Nightmare People and Other Short Horrors. It is a horror anthology. You can pick it up here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M33CPN6

Seriously thought, subscribe to the website. I won't be posting here until another book drops.

Thanks again.

The BulletProof Ghost Comic Preorder

First off, if you never got word that I've transported most of my blogging activity over to my WEBSITE, I apologize.  There are a LOT of updates over there that I've neglected to post here.  So if you would meander over to BulletProofGhost.com and wait a few seconds for the Subscribe button to pop up and enter your email in that box to receive free updates and maybe some free goodies here and there.  Also click on the books and merch sections for new tshirts you can buy online and two short stories I published this year you can purchase for the low low price of $.99!

Secondly, I have a new crowdfunding campaign to once again to try... try... try to fund art for a BulletProof Ghost comic book.  This time I'm using Indiegogo.com, like when I funded In Spades' novel cover, which went... okay... ish last time.  The campaign will run until January 27th, 2019, so there is a lot of time for you to pledge for signed copies of the book, a custom BulletProof Ghost Funko Pop and even being drawn into the comic book itself!

Click here to go straight to the campaign.

Thanks again for the support and please go to the website.  I'll try to crosspost here, but I am really busy lately, so it slips my mind.

Last Signing Events for the Year and other updates

I am too lazy to link everything from my website post to Blogger, so I'm just going to link the entire article here.

Thanks for all of the support.  I heard a rumor that Blogger may go the way of the dodo at some point in the next couple of years, so it is a good thing I have this website blog now.  I'll keep posting duplicate posts or linked posts here as long as it is active.  I started my writing career on Blogger, so I won't be abandoning it.  It is in fact, a lot better than my Wix blog in a lot of ways.

Thanks for the support and stay tuned for more updates.

Free Preview of Dreadful: Wolves in the Ice

This is a new short story series I've been working on. I wanted to have it out by Tri-Con, but things always to seem to take longer than I think or hope they do.  This is NOT the final version, but it is pretty close minus any typos or a few tweaks here and there.  Thanks for reading!

Dreadful: Wolves in the Ice

2
Lynn swore she would never come back to Alaska.  She hated this place.  The cold, it got to her.  She had spent the last eleven years where the weather shifted.  She got used to semi-normal seasons.  Her dad would have taken the term 'normal' personally.  He loved Alaska.  He was heartbroken when she left to live her own life.  She couldn't stay forever, she told him.  She didn't think that would be the last time she saw him.  She couldn’t have known.

The storm was getting pretty bad.  These rural roads were hell on a good day, but this was not a good day… well, night at this point.  She just wanted to get to her dad's cabin.  He left it to her in his will.  It was the only thing he left her.  Lynn's brother got everything else.  Of course he did.  He never left.  He was perfect and everyone in the family just loved him.  Her, not so much.

Lynn needed to be alone.  After what happened in New York.  After what Allun did, she just needed to be away from everyone.  Just for a while.  She started to cry again, "Goddamn it," she said out loud, "You're not going to let him hurt you anymore," she wiped the moisture from her cheeks.

She was having a hard enough time seeing without crying her eyes out.  The snow was really picking up.  She slowed down below twenty miles an hour.  Her headlights could barely cut through the white static in front of her.

THUD!  She heard it.  She felt it.  She had hit something with her car.  Oh my god, she thought.  Did she hit a person?  Surely not.  Who the hell would be out in this blizzard?  No, she thought.  Lynn exited her car.  Snow and ice hit her in the face with a dozen little stings.  She pushed her way through the blistering wind and sleet.

The figure on the ground looked like a person, "Oh shit.  No, no, no," she said frantically, "Mister?" she could tell it was a man as she crept closer," she noticed he was breathing.  She felt a bit relieved, but he could still be really injured.

She noticed something else as she was right on top of him.  The man was naked.  Completely buck-ass naked, "The hell?" she bent down to check his pulse.  He wasn't going to last long like this, she thought.  Why the hell is he naked?  Maybe this is like a mob hit or something.  Alaska-style.  Throw someone out in a blizzard and let them freeze.  That's silly, she dismissed the idea.  It didn't matter.  She needed to get him back in the car. She needed to get him to a hospital.

The man's eyes sprung open.  The man leapt up onto his feet.  The naked man grabbed Lynn and slammed her against the car.  He was so strong, "What the hell happened?  Who are you?" he shook his head.  He tried to clear his head from the car impact, "Did you hit me with your goddamn car?"

"It was an accident.  I couldn't see. Are you okay?" she squeaked out.  She was scared for a totally new reason now.  This guy was crazy.  She tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but his hands acted like vice grips.  Not just for a naked skinny guy in the middle of a blizzard, but strong for any person.  She couldn’t budge an inch.

The man let go of her and grabbed his head, "It's too late," he whipped his head around.  His eyes were bright yellow, "I put it off for too long.  I can't control it," Lynn heard bones cracking in the man's body as he screamed in pain, "Guess you'll have to do lady," he gave her a sinister stare as his incisors grew a few inches in front of her eyes.  Blood started pour out of the man's mouth as the bones and muscles in his body shifted in a grotesque manner.  His grin split the side of his cheek as he let out an inhuman shriek. A distorted howl.

Lynn ran to her driver's side door.  The contorted, naked man was distracted as he... whatever was happening to him.  She put her foot on the accelerator as hard as she could, but only spun out.  She forgot what it was like to drive in real snow.  She gently put her foot down and she got traction.  Lynn went around the man as she swore she saw his head was stretching.  Every inch of change audibly fractured his bones and ripped at his tendons.  His teeth were sharp and jagged.  Those yellow eyes burned through her with insatiable hunger.

Whatever the hell was going on, Lynn was getting out of here.  She was well on her way.  Suddenly she felt another impact.  This time on the back of her car.  Like something had slashed her back left tire.  She spun 180 degrees.  Lynn had no control and just held on.  She closed her eyes until she heard the clatter of shattered glass and denting metal. Lynn swore she was screaming, but it didn’t seem to rise above the chaotic crashing around her.

Lynn felt blood flow down her face.  Some of the glass hit her like a shotgun blast.  Lynn saw that the passenger side had hit a tree.  She shook the dizziness from her head.  She needed to get the hell out of here.  She reached for the door with her bleeding hand.  Blood smeared on the handle as she fumbled the door open.

Lynn saw her back tire as she fell into the snow, still off balance from the impact.  It had been ripped open.  Were those claw marks?  She looked around.  The snow was coming down even harder, but she somehow could feel that the contorted man could still be after her.

Her father's cabin couldn't be more than half a mile east into the woods.  She could make it.  She knew it.  Lynn put one foot in front of the other.  She wrapped herself in the only blanket she had and headed into the white nothingness.

3

Lynn was running now.  As fast as her legs could propel her through the snowstorm.  She knew these woods well enough.  She spent a lot of time here as a kid, but a lot had changed.  She just needed to keep running.  Lynn reached into her pocket for her cell phone.  She hadn't even thought about calling someone.  No one was going to be able to get to her soon, but it was worth a shot.  She kept looking up at the path in front of her.  She did not want to run face first into a tree.  Lynn looked at her cracked screen.  It must had been damaged in the crash.  She hoped it would still work.

Lynn brushed her red hair out of her face as she dialed 911.  There was a voice on the other end, "Hello," Lynn tried to yell over the wind, "I'm near Elk Clearing, there's been an accident," she couldn't hear the person on the other end.  It wasn't likely they could hear her, "Shit!" whether it was the wind or the damage to the phone, help wasn’t coming.

Lynn shoved her slightly damaged phone into her coat.  She realized that drunk asshole said he was going to be at Elk Clearing, "No," she said.  It was worth a shot.  The guy might have a gun.  If that naked... thing was still after her, then a gun would come in really handy.

Lynn made a slight detour to the right.  She trudged through the two-foot-deep snow.  The crunching of the already freezing snow was all she could hear for a moment.  She focused on pushing her way to Elk’s Clearing.  It was the only thing that mattered.

That's when she heard snarling.  Through the howling wind, she heard an animal growling.  Lynn spun around to see those yellow eyes.  Even through the swirling dots of white, she could see those eyes.  It was all she could see as she quickly turned around to sprint toward that clearing.

Lynn tripped over a downed tree as she stumbled through the woods into the clearing.  The snow was actually starting to let up.  She could hear herself think for a moment.  She shook the snow off of her head as she heard a voice further into the clearing.

"The bloody hell?" the voice called out.  The man's accent was distinctively British, "What are you doing here?"

She made out the man's face, "The asshole from the bar?" it was indeed the man from the bar, but he wasn't disheveled and drunk.  He was in an insulated trench coat with a sock hat wrapped around his head and ears.  She shook off the disbelief and just rolled with it, "You were going to go hunting!  You have a gun, right?  There's a vampire or something chasing me."

"No, love," the man said, "Not a vampire," he saw the yellow eyes peeking through the tree line.  They were at least seven feet off of the ground.  A white fur-covered hand grabbed the tree next to it as a massive creature stepped out from the forest. Black claws scratched into the bark.  The deep trails were carved into the wood with almost no effort.  Its foot wasn’t flat like a person’s but arched up, like an animal. Unlike an animal, it was standing up straight on two feet.

The man smirked, "That... is a werewolf."

4

The British man pulled a silver sawed off shotgun out of his dark blue trench coat.  The single barrel wasn’t rounded like a normal shotgun, but cut into a point on the top of the barrel.  He pumped the weapon one time as he walked toward the over seven-foot werewolf that had revealed itself.

It snarled as it carefully analyzed its two prey.  One was utterly defenseless and not worth one ounce of worry.  The other it seemed to know from somewhere.  It may have just know his kind.  Armed and formidable. Clever and dangerous.

Lynn was beyond frightened.  She couldn’t scream.  She froze in both absolute terror and due to the fact she was literally freezing while sitting in the thick snow.  She just watched the two figures squaring off in front of each other.  Both of them used an equal amount of caution.  Neither made a move for more than a few seconds.

The Britain stepped to the side while keeping his pointy shotgun aimed right at the creature, “So, you got my invitation.  It had been said that part of you remembers what happens when you’re a wolf,” the monster just deeply growled at him, but kept its distance, “Now you realize that when I ‘drunkenly’ and purposely brayed that I was going hunting; I meant I was hunting you.  You just walked into a trap.  You.  Not the other way around,” the wolf actually looked angry as the man taunted it, “Now you don’t have the smarts to fully understand how screwed you actually are. Do you, Fido?”

The werewolf called out with a rage that surprised Lynn.  Was this thing still a person, she wondered, on the inside that is?  Lynn crawled backward as the white monster couldn’t hold itself back anymore.  The wolf ran at the Englishman on all fours, instead on two feet as it had been using this whole time.  The wolf had indeed taken over.

That’s when a metallic snapping sound cut through the blustery wind. A red spray of liquid jutted into the air.  The wolf rolled around as it lost footing.  It yelped like an injured dog.  Blood could be seen in the white snow.  The man casually walked up to the creature.  Its leg had been caught in a silver, shiny bear trap.  The snapped shut apparatus almost cut the thing’s leg off.  A burning scent accompanied smoke in the air.  The silver was burning through the wolf’s leg.  The monster clawed at the trap, but only succeeded in burning its paws.

The man strolled along through the snow, “All it took was a little ridicule,” he aimed at the wolf’s face, “And you lost yourself to the animal,” he pulled the trigger.  The monster’s face basically disintegrated in a blitz of blood, fur and bone.  Its snout was gone.  Those yellow eyes burst like grapes.  The faceless werewolf fell forward into the snow.  Blood spread out onto the snow and quickly froze.

Update: Author Events!

Hello again,

I told you I'd start to blog more often.  Of course, this isn't the normal frequency that I'll be posting.  I'm on vacation for the moment, so I've got a lot of extra time on my hands.

In any case, let's get to what you're here for: All of my Upcoming Author Events!

Franklin Street Bazaar
Evansville, Indiana
August 12, 2017
Starts at 9am

Though I don't have an exact location for this as of yet, when I have it, I'll let you know.  For the time being, just know that I will be there.  If you're looking to snag a copy of The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades, then you'll be out of luck.  Since the release of In Spades is on August 19, I will only have copies of the second edition of The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes.  I'll also have merchandise such as button pins, t-shirts and bookmarks.  If you've held off on getting a copy of Prototypes until now, this would be a great opportunity to catch up on the saga.

Update: I will be at the Number 22 spot. :)

The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades Launch Event
Barnes & Noble
Evansville, Indiana
Saturday, August 19, 2017
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

I already posted about this, but if this is the first you've heard of it...
I'm going to be releasing my second book, The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades at the Evansville, Indiana Barnes & Noble!  I'll be selling and signing copies of both books.  I'm pretty sure I can't sell my merch here, so it will only be books for this one.  Sorry.

Evansville, Indiana
Saturday, August 26, 2017
11AM - 3 PM

I'm excited about this event because I'm going to be on a panel with other local authors.  Whaaaaat!? Yes!  I'm not sure on the time yet, but not only will be able to get both books and swag, but you can ask me and other authors questions about our work, the process of writing or anything else you want.  That's pretty nerve-wrecking... I mean it's great.  It is great.  Not nervous at all.

Tri-Con
Holiday Inn by Evansville Airport
7101 US-41, Evansville, IN 47725
Friday noon-midnight
Saturday 8am – midnight
Sunday 9am – 5pm

Tri-Con is a multi-genre nerd culture event.  Scifi, fantasy, horror, literature, comics, cosplay, anime and much more convene in Evansville for a weekend of awesomeness.

So this is a big one.  Three days, much like Geek Galaxy a few years ago, but much bigger.  More people.  Long hours.  This is fine for me.  I love big events like this.  At this event, I will just be a vender with my books and swag.  I hope to have the compilation book and/or the hardback version of Prototypes & In Spades on sale by then.  I also may launch the first Dreadful short story on the first day of Tri-Con.  More information on that as I work the specifics of BPG Hardback/Dreadful Launch.  I may have an other surprise or two for the event, so keep an eye on Twitter @thebproofghost and this blog.

These are all of the events that I've 100% confirmed.  I wanted to talk about several of them for a while, but I needed to make sure I wasn't giving out bad info if they were out of room or my book/swag didn't meet their requirements. Thanks for your patience.

I'm also aware all of these events are local.  In Evansville, Indiana.  Honestly, it just sort of worked out like that.  The Bazaar, the museum and Tri-Con were bunched up together in less than a month's span.  Releasing In Spades locally makes sense as far as supporting the community.  Not to mention it makes maxing out the potential attendance of the event.

I will schedule events later in September that take place further away from home.  In fact if you don't live near southern Indiana and would like to have me at an event or come to your local bookstore for a signing.  Send me an email at jakedh@bulletproofghost.com .  I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the support and I'll keep the updates coming.

My new horror series, Dreadful plus a new way to read BPG

It's been a while since I've put up a blog post, but I wanted to make sure I knew for sure what was going to happen with the new outlet.  Thanks for your patience.

The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes is officially on Channillo.  Channillo is a serial literature website where you can post portions of books or start full blown series.  I'm posting BPG: Prototypes while BPG: In Spades is in the process of being edited.  Once Prototypes is posted in its complete form, I'm hoping to be able to post portions of In Spades exclusively on Channillo.

You can start reading The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes on Channillo here.  The service is not free.  You can start out with a $5 a month fee to subscribe to 10 series at a time.  Hopefully you will make BPG one of them.

Now onto my current project.  I recently entered a contest at screencraft.com for their Bootleg Universe event.  This was specifically for already created characters from other franchises.  I went with a short story I wrote about Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor.  This was mostly based off of the 2005 anime series.  I will post the short story in its entirety within the near future.

After I wrote this story, I checked out their other contests.  There was one for original short stories that had a substantial cash prize.  I had a few ideas kicking around, one I named 'Wolves in the Ice'.  WitI is about a woman who was badly hurt by her fiance in New York City and returns to her childhood home in Alaska.  After a traffic accident, she finds herself in the middle of the woods being stalked by a pack of white werewolves.  She runs into a man calling himself a 'wolf tracker' that helps her survive through the night.

After writing the entire short story, I realized that this would make a solid series of stories, as I was already figuring out in my head where the characters would end up next.  So I started on the second story called 'Sister's Keeper' and titled the entire series 'Dreadful'.  That's a working title, but unless you put the word Penny in front of it, no one else is using it as a series title.

Once I've entered the next contest, I'll pitch this new series to Channillo.  For a while, Channillo will be the only place to read Dreadful, period.  I'm not sure how many entries there will be, but I may just create arcs until I can't come up with new ideas; which sounds interesting.

That is all of the updates for the moment.  Keep an eye on my twitter feed @thebproofghost and like my Facebook Page.  I'll try to get these projects out ASAP.  I know I haven't published anything since BPG: Prototypes, but there are a lot of things coming down the pipeline.  I promise.

Later.

New York Trip, Owensboro Signing, Appearance on Evansville Podcast, New Stories and more!

Wow, there are a lot of updates to get to.  I would have updated the blog last week, but after the New York City trip, I was exhausted.  Honestly, I just needed a day to chill out.  I'm rested (for the most part) and ready to get everyone up to speed.

First and foremost, I was on Evansville Podcast talking about BulletProof Ghost, among other things, but mostly BPG.  You can check out the episode here.  For my first interview, I think it went pretty well, especially considering how little sleep I got.  I also talk about some of the origins of BPG that I may not have touched on in this blog.  I was supposed to be on Owensboro's Own, but scheduling/job-job overtime/lack of sleep prevented me from being on that show.  I'm not sure when/if I will be on now, but I'll post it up on Twitter ( @thebroofghost ) as soon as possible.  You can check out the podcast series here.

Next on the list of updates: I will be at Big Bang Comics and Toys in Owensboro, KY on Saturday, August 27 from 10am until 4pm signing copies of The BulletProof Ghost Prototypes or anything else you want me to sign.  I will have other items like button pins and a limited supply of shirts.  The books will be $9.  Generally, I've learned that events like this don't sell a lot of books, but maybe this will break the mold.

In case you didn't know, I went to New York City to take part in the Writers Digest Conference 2016 (WDC16).  I was specifically there to take place in what is called a Pitch Slam.  I know this sounds like a sex position, but stick with me.  I pitched BPG to 5 literary agents in the span of an hour.  I was flatly rejected by three of them due to the fact the book had already been self published.

An agent said she liked the pitch, but because of the self published status and less than stellar sales, she couldn't give BPG to her publisher, but... and this is a big but, she gave me her card.  She liked the pitch enough that she offered to check out the next book I wrote that was not BPG related.  Okay, I'll take that.

The first agent I talked to wanted to see the book regardless.  I may have failed/forgot to mention that this specific book was self-published.  I made sure to let her know in the email I literally just sent her.  I think that she'll turn it down due to that technicality.  That doesn't make me sad or anything, it just means that BPG is going to be self-published and possibly indie-published for a while if not exclusively.

One of the things I learned at the conference is that I have to market myself as an author more and not just concentrate of The BulletProof Ghost.  This is my baby, but I have to branch out and create new stories if I ever want to do this for a living, which I do.  I will be altering the blog and website a little bit to reflect me as a writer, instead of focusing solely on BPG.  The urls will stay the same, but I'll be altering the graphics and images a bit.

I'm also outlining a new book specifically to send to agents within the year.  I'm going to try my hand at fantasy (or so it will seem).  I'm also writing a few horror short stories that I'll be posting on here for free.  The first story may be up as early as next week, because I've already started writing it.  The short stories will be pretty raw and unedited, but this is a blog, not a published piece.

That's about it.  You'll be getting new short stories for free.  The next BPG novel is more or less finished and in the process of being edited.  And if that wasn't enough, I'll be starting an entirely new novel/series... well next weekend if all goes well.

Thanks for the support and I'll see you later.

Newsletter, New Email Address & New York!!

I have a new email address.  I created it for the sole purpose of starting a BulletProof Ghost newsletter.  It's Jakedh@BulletProofGhost.com
I may keep an eye on the other email address for a while, but I'll be winding its use down since I'm actually paying for this new one.

Also if you want to get the new weekly newsletter when I start sending them out (probably on Sunday).  Just shoot me an email at the above address with the title 'Add Me to Newsletter'.

As far as other updates are concerned, I have a Periscope account now.  You can search for it under 'Jake dh #BPG #Author' and it should pop up.  I have a couple of broadcasts on there already.  I'm trying to use it to chronicle the process of the next announcement.

That announcement is that we are 100% going to New York for the Writer's Digest Annual Conference!  I may have mentioned this before, but there were a couple of wrenches thrown into the process that may have kept us from going.  All of that is solved now.  We are registered and all there is left to do is book the hotel and flight.

The purpose of the trip is to participate in the 'Pitch Slam'.  A Pitch Slam is where I get to pitch my book (or in my case series) to an actual literary agent.  In this case, it means I get to pitch it to 10 agents inside of an hour.  If one of them chooses to represent me, then BPG might end up being on store shelves in the near future, but only if I'm for reals published.

This is all very exciting, but I will keep pushing forward with the second draft of the second book in the series, The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades.  I should have the lion's share of the book done this weekend.  Hopefully there will be a preview up on this very blog within a couple of weeks.  I'll have some more news about In Spades later this weekend and next week.  Stay Tuned.

Thanks for the support.  This may be the beginning of a bright future for The BulletProof Ghost.\\

The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades' Rough Draft is done!

So I know it had been a while since I've had anything resembling a decent update, but as of about twenty minutes ago, the second book in The BulletProof Ghost series in its most basic form, is done.  The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades is longer than Prototypes, which is part of the reason it took so long to finish.  There were other reasons, but there are previous entries in this blog to explain that.

The synopsis of the new book begins with the fallout from Prototypes (spoilers for Prototypes ahead).  After Kyle Richard was forced to kill four of his five bullies due to William Kintaxin's rage program being activated in Kyle's brain nodes (cybernetic nervous system enhancement); he has to figure out where he fits in the world.  The guilt of his actions (though more or less against his will) weigh heavy on the young cyborg.  Four leaves town to secure funds for creating a base of operations so the two don't have to squat at Kevin Hedwin's house.

Kyle comes into conflict with a criminal organization known as The Spades.  They are run by Mayor Rudolph Vyle, who is also the murdered Nick's father.  Vyle's rampage to find who killed his son puts Kyle's friends, Al and Irene into the crosshairs.  Kyle must not only save his friends, but the soul of his hometown.

I don't want to ruin too much, but I'll have a preview up within a month or so.  I know, waiting sucks, but I want the book to be good.  Honestly, even in rough draft form, I think that In Spades is better than Prototypes.  All of the origin story and technology explaining is out of the way and I felt free to just tell a story.

I'll be ordering a new cover soon so my posts will have a picture to go with them.  I'm not going with the same artist I did last time, so I'll have to shop around... as it were.

If you haven't read The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes, then you should go to The Website and order a copy or get the digital version.  There is a preview on Amazon, Smashwords and this blog.

Once I get the second draft finished and editing begins, I'll hold a pre-order program for In Spades, sort of.
I'm going to run a GoFundMe in order to:
                          A. Fund a possible release tour for The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades
                          B. Allow a psuedo pre-order system

This means that I might have a prolonged tour for the release of In Spades (fingers crossed), but also that anyone who wants to put money down can reserve their book early AND get a signed copy of not only In Spades, but the 2nd edition of Prototypes as well.  There will be other rewards of course, but those will be announced later.

Thanks for the support so far.  I will try to get over my social anxieties and do local events in Evansville and Owensboro (and possibly a couple of other places) sans crowd funding, provided people will go to get signed copies of the books.  Maybe I'll be allowed to do a Q & A if you want something like that.

The BulletProof Ghost will emerge again.

The BulletProof Ghost at Geek Galaxy Comic Con! (and the physical version of BPG:P too)

Edits: The physical version is down for the moment... CreateSpace is just turning out awful.  I'm trying to work things out with them, but I may have to use another vendor to distribute the hold in your hand copy.  Updates as they come.  Sorry about this everyone.

So updates galore!  First and foremost, the physical version of The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes is in the CreateSpace store!  You can have a hold in your hand version of BPG: Prototypes for only $7 (plus shipping)!  As soon as I get my first order, I'm donating several copies to libraries and various coffee shops in my area.  Exciting!  If you have an Amazon account and don't want to set up a CreateSpace account, it will be available on Amazon in 3 days.  Also here are all of the international Ebook links in case you live outside of the U.S. I've got you covered.

Here's the official cover, spine and back of the book:

So the bigger news is that BPG is going to be at Geek Galaxy Comic Con.  Geek Galaxy will be at 715 Locust St., Evansville, IN  47708 on November 15th and 16th.  I've already reserved an Exhibition Booth, so it's a done deal.  We'll have signed copies of The BulletProof Ghost: Prototypes, button pins, shirts and other swag.  I'll post up the designs for all of the swag up here, the Twitter, etc.  We'll also hold a drawing for a package that includes one of everything we're selling at Geek Galaxy.  This will be BPG's first con, so this will be awesome.

I want to make an announcement about the next book in relation to Geek Galaxy, but I can't promise it as much as I want to.  The plan if everything works out is to release The BulletProof Ghost: In Spades at Geek Galaxy Comic Con, but it might not be done by then.  I don't want to sacrifice quality in order to get them out on time (plus I have to talk to CreateSpace to see if I can get copies in advance, if not, there are local printers I can get the first batch made through).  If it looks like this will be possible, then I'll make it official, but right now, it's a nice thought.

Thanks again for the support and I hope this is just the beginning for the series.
